Sunday Best Reading Series: Updated Season Program

Greetings, Sunday Best Fans!

Please read below for updates to the Sunday Best Reading Series season program.  Our next event is Valentines to Earth on February 13, 2011.  This event will be preceded by a special panel on gardening and community at 2PM.  Please mark your calendars accordingly!

February 13, 2011:

Valentines to Earth: Poet/Activist Wendy Babiak and fiction writer/activist Vivian Demuth will be reading, with cameos by local writers Peter Martin, Gordon Gilbert, Melissa Fendell Moschitto of  The Anthropologists, and Marlon Danilewitz.  This event will be preceded at 2:00 p.m. by a panel on gardening and community featuring Wendy Babiak, Tom Waters, Lois Ann Lawless, and Dorrie Rosen.

March 6, 2011:

NoMAA Grantee Showcase: Readings by literary artist who have received Individual Artist Grants from NoMAA (Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance) for 2011.  (Additional information regarding the scheduled readers for this event will be provided shortly.).

April 3, 2011:

High Jinks!: Mikhail Horowitz & Gilles Malkine; Duo Fortuna (Charles Ramsey, Leslie Upchurch)

May 1, 2011:

New Books: Carol Wallace, Elaine Terranova, Valerie Mejer

All readings begin at 4 p.m. in The Lounge@ Hudson View Gardens
Pinehurst Avenue and 183rd Street

$7 suggested donation (covers admission, drinks, and snacks)

Reception after each event to meet the writers.
